Daniel is now signed and committed to play for the University of Nevada-Reno as a part of their great 2017 Recruiting Class.
Daniel Perry was drafted in the 13th round by the Toronto Blue Jays after his senior year in high school at Lassen High School and chose to attend the University of Iowa. After one year he then decided to transfer here to Lassen College to play out his freshman season. As a prep athlete he was a four-time all-conference selection in baseball and earned the honor three times in basketball. A Perfect Game preseason All-American, he earned a spot on the Northern California High School All-Star team. Scouting News ranked him as a Top 100 recruit coming out of high school in 2015.
He will play out the 2017 Season for the Cougars and then move on to Nevada starting in the fall of 2017. Below is a quote from his new Head Coach at the University of Nevada-Reno, TJ Bruce and a video talking about his commitment.
Bruce on Perry: "Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to Nevada. He is a high level infielder that knows what it takes to be a Division 1 player. He should make an immediate impact with his leadership and could be a top end offensive and defensive player for us. We are very excited to have Daniel as part of the Pack."
