Lassen Dominates Yuba 10-4 with Strong Offensive Performance

In a dominant performance on April 13, 2025, the Lassen College baseball team earned a decisive 10-4 victory over Yuba. Despite an early 4-run rally from Yuba in the top of the first, Lassen quickly responded with a run in the bottom of the first and never looked back. A series of multi-run innings, including three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth, propelled the Cougars to a commanding lead, ultimately securing the win.

Lassen’s offense was on fire, producing 12 hits, including two triples, a double, and a home run. Jack Zimmerman and Jackson Rosenthal led the charge, combining for four hits and four RBIs. Rominic Quiban and Kylan Kono also contributed with strong performances, combining for four RBIs. A key highlight was the strong base running, with multiple stolen bases from Mitchell Basterrechea, Brock Bunker, and Ujyo Biles.

The Lassen pitching staff showed resilience after a shaky first inning, with Callum Hurrelbrink earning the win after throwing 1.1 scoreless innings. Matt Henry started strong but faced some struggles in the early going, while Noah Kimura and Wyatt Culbertson closed out the game with solid relief efforts, allowing just one hit in their combined four innings of work.
