Cougars Earn Seven All-Conference Selections Following Strong 2026 Season
After another successful season that saw the Cougars finish 28-15 overall and 18-7 in Golden Valley Conference play, Lassen College baseball was heavily recognized in the postseason awards as seven players earned All-Conference honors.
Leading the way for the Cougars was sophomore outfielder Jack Zimmerman, who hit .360 with 50 hits, 37 runs scored, and a .474 on-base percentage while serving as one of Lassen’s most consistent offensive threats all season. Zimmerman also added 16 stolen bases and played stellar defense in the outfield, helping anchor the Cougar lineup from the leadoff spot.
Middle infielders Roque Serrano and Kylan Kono were also recognized after standout seasons defensively and offensively. Serrano hit .329 with 53 hits and 24 RBIs while finishing with 141 assists on defense. Kono batted .337 with a team-high 59 hits while adding 19 stolen bases and strong play at shortstop throughout conference competition.
Sophomore Damico Parker earned all-conference honors after putting together one of the most dynamic offensive seasons on the team. Parker hit .326 with 57 hits, 49 runs scored, and 30 stolen bases while consistently creating pressure on opposing defenses. Ethan Beede also earned recognition after batting .289 with 44 hits, 30 RBIs, and strong defensive play behind the plate and in the infield for the Cougars.
On the mound, freshman right-hander Evan Rhoden and sophomore reliever Kyson Goates represented Lassen among the conference’s top pitchers. Rhoden finished the year with six wins and 63 strikeouts across 63.2 innings pitched while becoming a reliable starter throughout conference play. Goates posted a dominant 1.54 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 41 innings while serving as one of the top bullpen arms in the Golden Valley Conference.
The seven all-conference selections reflected the depth and balance of a Cougar team that earned another postseason appearance and continued to establish itself as one of the top programs in the Golden Valley Conference.
