Lassen Falls to Siskiyous in Hard-Fought Conference Matchup

Lassen College came up short in another close contest, falling 74-67 to Siskiyous at home on February 5. The Cougars trailed by four at halftime and were unable to close the gap in the second half despite strong performances from Brady Cooper and Elijah Blythe, who each scored 18 points. Lassen struggled with turnovers, committing 20, while Siskiyous capitalized on their defensive pressure, forcing key mistakes and scoring 14 points off turnovers. Jacob Dallas led Siskiyous with a game-high 23 points, while Jeremiah Collins contributed seven assists and seven steals to keep the Eagles in control.

Lassen shot 39.7% from the field and 33.3% from three but struggled at the free-throw line, converting just 16 of 24 attempts. Despite a strong defensive effort that forced 21 Siskiyous turnovers, Lassen was unable to overcome its rebounding disadvantage, finishing with just 26 total boards compared to Siskiyous' 35. With back-to-back tough losses, the Cougars will look to regroup and find a way to close out games as they continue conference play.
