Men's Rodeo 2016-2017 Season Outlook

The Lassen College Rodeo Team is coming off of a great year! In the 2015–2016 season three student team members finished in the top three in the West Coast Region and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. They represented Lassen College in the goat tying, team roping, and steer wrestling. All three of these great competitors were in the top 20 in the nation after the first round of competition at the highest level of collegiate rodeo.

Following hiring a new Men's Team rodeo coach, Lassen College will double the size of their men's team for the upcoming year. Men's team members compete in all men's rodeo events. Lassen is recruiting cowboy students from not only California, but also Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. Among the incoming freshmen, several have competed at the National High School Rodeo Association Finals. Along with a great class of returning sophomores, the Men's Rodeo Team has a great chance at a regional team championship during the upcoming college rodeo season.
