Men's Soccer Struggles Against Butte in Conference Opener

Lassen defended well as a unit, holding Butte to a few chances from distance throughout the first half but a costly last-minute turnover that led to Butte's opener, giving the Roadrunners momentum heading into the half and ultimately a 4-0 win over the Cougars.

Lassen came out looking for an early equalizer, but as the game settled, Butte began creating more chances and capitalizing on them. The lack of possession from the home side and numerous turnovers meant Lassen was unable to create many chances while simultaneously gifting their opponent more chances. Butte has one of the best points records in the state and their dominant performance illustrated just that.

'We'll get back to the drawing board and see why we struggled to keep possession," said Head Coach Imaan Kerchgani. "Butte played a great match and we'll look to draw from their strengths."
