Men's Soccer Drops Season Opener

Men's Soccer lost to Las Positas 4-0 in their opening game on Aug. 29.

The game started well with both teams creating opportunities. Lassen's defense and half-line players were holding well until a long-distance shot found its way into the Lassen goal Halftime score was Lassen down 2-0. As Lassen was starting to jell in the second half on a counter-attack Las Positas was able to score their third goal.

"I am very excited about the steps this team has taken in learning a new system," said Head Coach Juan Carlos Paolo. "I told them from the get-go this would be a process that would take four games before they felt completely comfortable with it, and when that happens this team can and will play all of our opponents evenly and I see big things in the near future."
