Jenna Ku sparked the offense with a home run and finished with two hits and an RBI. Taylor Lauritsen doubled twice and scored twice, while Alyssa McOmie drove in three runs to provide a key offensive lift. Lilinoe Kuhaulua-Leong also recorded two hits as Lassen tallied nine hits in the win.
The Cougars continued to add insurance runs in the fourth and fifth innings, consistently putting pressure on the Vikings’ defense. Their ability to string together quality at-bats and execute with runners in scoring position proved to be the difference.
