Shooting Struggles Continue as Cougars Fall at Siskiyous
The Lassen College women’s basketball team dropped a Golden Valley Conference road matchup on January 31, falling to Siskiyous 77-46. The Eagles built early momentum, taking a 29-12 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 51-23 by halftime.
Kyleigh Flux led the Cougars with 10 points, while Miliani Crosno added eight points and three rebounds. Rachel Ply contributed six points and six rebounds, and Alizah Lara chipped in seven points and five boards. Lassen continued to compete defensively but struggled to generate consistent offense throughout the night.
The Cougars shot 32.1% from the field and 5-of-24 (20.8%) from three-point range, while Siskiyous connected on 12 three-pointers and shot nearly 39% from beyond the arc. The Eagles also held a 41-31 rebounding advantage. Despite the loss, Lassen will look to regroup and focus on offensive execution as conference play continues.
