LCC Opens Season Strong

With Lassen College's hometown rodeo in the books for the 2019-20 season, the Lady Cougars are off to a good start. Lassen hosted the West Coast region for the first two rodeos of the season with the first on Friday, Sept. 27 and the second the next day.​

On Friday, the Lady cougars started off right with sophomores Hailey Finnegan and Macey Minton placing fifth and ninth in the barrel racing event. Freshman Masey Minton, also placed seventh in the breakaway event.

On Saturday, through the threat of rain and cold weather, both Finnegan and Masey Minton improved their times and ended up third and fourth in the barrel racing event. Following their lead Lassen sophomores, Josie Collins and Teanna Green did well in the breakaway event ending up eighth and ninth.

When the dust settled down, the Lady Cougs opened their season strong, ranked fourth against some tough competition.
