On October 11, 2024, the Lassen College volleyball team faced a tough challenge at home against Shasta, falling 3-1 in a hard-fought match. The scores were 25-21, 24-26, 25-15, and 25-20 in favor of Shasta. Despite strong individual performances, Lassen struggled to maintain consistency, especially in the first and third sets.

EmmaJay Larsen also contributed significantly, registering 9 kills and 11.5 points. Shasta's solid attack percentage of .282 compared to Lassen's .147 gave them the edge. The teams battled it out in the second set, which Lassen narrowly lost 26-24, but Shasta ultimately proved more dominant in the final two sets. Shasta’s defensive play and offensive efficiency were key in securing the victory, while Lassen will look to regroup and improve their consistency heading into their next match.
