Juarez and Loretto Capture Titles at Modesto Junior College Open

Lassen College women’s wrestling turned in a dominant performance at the Modesto Junior College Open on April 4, as both Alondra Juarez and Alexandra Loretto captured first-place finishes in their respective weight classes.

Juarez earned the championship at 138 pounds, continuing her remarkable season with another tournament title. Competing against a strong field, Juarez showcased her aggressive style and consistency throughout the day to finish atop the bracket and add another major accomplishment to her season.

Loretto also claimed a championship for the Cougars, taking first place in the 117-pound division. Her performance highlighted the growth and determination she displayed all season long as she battled through the bracket and secured another impressive victory for Lassen women’s wrestling.

The double championship performance reflected the continued success of the Cougar women’s wrestling program and demonstrated the team’s ability to compete at a high level against programs from across the state.
